New services opened in 2017
During 2017, EHSL has opened new services in Hertfordshire, Watford, Barnet and Enfield, offering accommodation to 17 people.
The accommodation provided includes self-contained flats dispersed within the community, a block of flats with overnight staffing, two shared houses, and a 2-person bungalow which is being adapted to meet the needs of a person coming out of residential care.
In most cases the properties have been leased from private sector landlords, although in one case the property is owned by a care provider and leased to EHSL. Rents have been approved by the local authority in each case and are paid via Housing Benefit.
