Donations and Fundraising

EHSL’s work is enhanced by donations and fundraising activity. This has included grants for specific projects such as improvements to an outdoor seating area, donations of furniture and equipment, and cash donations.

These are designated to be used in the following ways:

• • Tenant Hardship fund – providing essential items such as furniture, starter packs, clothing, and white goods to enable tenants to settle into a new home with dignity.

• • Energy Efficiency investment – enabling EHSL to provide accommodation that is cheaper to heat resulting in lower utility bills for our tenants.

• • Staff wellbeing fund – our frontline staff have challenging and mentally demanding roles, and small benefit packages assist us to retain and value our workforce.

• • Maintenance and equipment infrastructure. Our tenants can cause higher levels of property damage and wear and tear. We need to purchase and service vehicles, tools, equipment and and stock materials, to carry out urgent and ongoing through our cost-effective in-house maintenance team.

• • Community Engagement and integration activities. We operate events for our tenants that assist them to develop their independence and promote their wellbeing. We intend to acquire a minibus to enable us to facilitate group activities and trips, to reduce isolation and encourage participation in the wider community.
